Facebook and social media are the buzzwords on marketing experts;
last year alone, social media advertising increased by 35%. That’s a sizable
amount for what’s technically a new venue for marketing opportunities. It
doesn’t stop there though. Experts predict that growth will continue to grow by
an average of seven to eight percent a year for the next half decade.
What does this mean for businesses? This mean
they have to do some work to make themselves known in the sea of social media.
Here’s a few tips on how to do so:
- Aim for the right people. It’s so easy to get fans on Facebook. All
they have to do is click on the Like button. However, to make paying
customers, you’ll have to connect with people. This means creating content
that appeals to them and connects with them.
- Spend the cash. Right now, Facebook is offering the option
of “boosting your post”; that is, you pay money so your can post can reach
a lot more people. It’s money well-spent. More people reached means more
potential customers.
- Go for Quality Content. On Facebook, the more Likes something has,
the more potential it will get seen organically. Look for posts your fans
will be interested in; this can range from articles, to funny pictures, to
awesome videos.
